Feature Post Descriptions

Here is the section where I provide details on the various features found on my blog. In this way I hope to avoid describing what my whole goal is when I title something Trends that Should End #233 or Evolving Reviews #54. Take a minute to read through this. I hope it gives you a bit of insight into my thought process while creating some of these posts.

Trends That Should End! -- This feature is pretty self-explanatory. Basically, whenever I see a trend that is overused, old, stale, ridiculous, or just plain stupid, this is the section where I call it out.

Evolving Reviews -- I am a firm believer that you can't judge a book by it's cover... or perhaps better put, you can't judge a game by the first 10 minutes. This creates a problem for me. You see, I don't get paid to review games. I do it because I just love talking about them so much that I don't mind putting in the time. I also firmly believe that you really shouldn't review a game that you aren't pretty familiar with; you should probably beat it first. What am I to do when it takes me a week or two after launch to beat something? By then most people have already bought the game or at least made a decision to buy it soon or not.

What I've decided to do is review the game AS I'M PLAYING IT! Brilliant, isn't it? Basically, I will give my review on the first impressions the game makes, then as I play more I'll keep updating the review until I beat it and then give my final thoughts.

Prognostications -- This is the section where I make wild predictions on where I think the video game world is heading. I am the Video Game Sage after all!
